St Joseph Hr. Pry. School was established by Rev Ladislaus De Louze in the year 1833. Along with religious education, reading, writing and Mathematics was taught to the students. In the year 1893 this institution was recognized by the government. This institution has rendered selfless service for the cause of education of the local children without discrimination.

Old Student`s Association:

The old students Association was formed in 1976. This Association has rendered their support for the development of the school. Mr Sushil Noronha is serving as the present President of this association. Co-curricular Activities: Besides the academic teaching, we involve our students in various activities. National Festivals are celebrated inculcate spirit of Patriotism and unity among the students. Band and dance classes are given to those who are interested. Facilities are also provided for the promotion of sports and games. It has enabled a large number of students to participate at the Zonal, Taluk and District level. The students who have gained knowledge from this institution have been recognized at the National and Inter – National level.
